Class attendance etiquette
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before class begins.
  • Late arrivals are not permitted into class so please be prompt.
  • Please turn cell phones off, no phone use in studio is permitted.
  • Be mindful of personal hygiene.
  • Please refrain from wearing perfume or cologne.
  • Putting on lotion right before class will make you slip.
  • Wear clothes to move in.
  • Bring a yoga mat and towel if you have one (rentals are available).

Yoga Descriptions

Morning glory/Fresh Start- Refreshing and invigorating, yogis will look forward to this interactive class. Beginners will learn yoga language and be given the opportunity to explore each pose to its fullest in preparation for different level classes, while the more advanced yogi can enjoy holding poses for a little longer than usual to maximize their strength and flexibility.  So wake up, get deep, and start your day the Barefoot way!

Cardio Flow–  The powerful hour of vinyasa flow.  This class is designed to get you moving with a steady flow then slow you down to release stressors and send you back to the world ready to dominate the rest of the day.  This class is for most levels.

80 Degrees of Power– Yogis will get the benefit of intense, rhythmic flow as well as breathe work and stretching. Barefoot Studio turns up the heat on your yoga practice figuratively AND literally; the room is heated to a toasty 80 degrees. Be sure to bring plenty of water and a towel.  This class can accommodate practitioners of most levels who are ready to sweat!

Gentle/Restorative Yoga– This class whispers relaxation.  Perfect for the beginning yogi and highly beneficial for the advanced, Gentle/Restorative explores the lighter side of yoga.  This class uses stretching, breathe work, and meditation to inspire the practitioner to drop in, relax, let go, and become fully present.

Belly and Buns- Need we say more?! This hour is set aside to target the areas of our bodies that we struggle with the most- Belly and Buns. 6-pack abs and a great Yoga-Butt is what you have to gain… so what do you have to lose?

Ashtanga Flow- Ashtanga is a method that stresses vinyasa flow, but with a set series of postures. Dynamic and athletic, this class appeals to those who like a sense of order and independence.

Gentle/Yin Yoga-  A quiet and gentle practice suitable for all levels of practitioner. Postures are all practiced on the floor, staying in each from 3 to 5 minutes, while relaxing the muscles. Yin Yoga targets the body’s connective tissue, addressing the mobility and health of our joints in the hips, pelvis and spine. Beginners welcome.

 Mellow Flow: Candlelight Mellow Flow is an opportunity to wake up the body, and then move into a slow flow with a strong emphasis on connecting the breath with every movement. Perfect for most levels.

Yin and Flow-  A combination of our Intro to Flow and Yin. This class is well suited for most levels, But definitely more intense than our gentle/yin classes.

 Women’s class– This class is for LADY’S ONLY. This class was created to allow women  to come together and enjoy the benefits of a physical yoga practice. No OM or Sanskrit. Monday- gentle, Wednesday- belly & buns.

Reverse happy hour -will be a variety of active styles and focuses. From time to time these classes may be taught by our teachers in training, giving them an opportunity to offer a community yoga class.
